2021<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Women\u2019s Aid pays tribute to the many survivors, campaigners and domestic abuse organisations who&nbsp;made this&nbsp;law possible.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">&nbsp;<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Women\u2019s Aid&nbsp;was proud to have campaigned alongside survivors and activists to&nbsp;secure&nbsp;many vital changes to the Act, which introduced a step-change in the national response to <a href=\"https:\/\/womensaid.org.uk\/about-domestic-abuse\/\">domestic abuse<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span the work&nbsp;of dedicated organisations and campaigners, the Act&nbsp;failed to&nbsp;deliver equal protection and support for migrant women through the&nbsp;law.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/womensaid.org.uk\/domestic-abuse-act-reaches-five-year-milestone\/\">Five years on,<\/a> women with No&nbsp;Recourse&nbsp;to Public Funds, and migrant women are still&nbsp;woefully under protected.&nbsp;<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">All survivors must have the right to seek support and&nbsp;safety and&nbsp;live a life free from abuse.
